SKIP TRACING

Skip tracing is a process used to find someone who is missing. It generally requires gathering, organizing and analyzing large amounts of data on an individual to make a conclusion about where he/she might be. Done most commonly to find people to rekindle relationships or handle legal and financial situations.

Our investigators access documents such as court files, property and motor vehicle records or electronic databases, such as those held by law enforcement or government agencies. Throughout the data collection, we verify everything we find before deciding what to do next, because looking into false leads can waste time and money or give an inaccurate picture of someone's location. Prestige’s skip trace actions may include the following;

  • Surveillance.  We observe certain homes where the person being sought has been known to live.

  • Background checks. Our private investigators wishing to apprehend a fugitive or debtor will often run background checks in order to figure out a targets past habits. In many cases, this can lead investigators right to their target.

  • Interviews and questioning. Our investigators will often speak with those who know a target well. They try to get acquaintances to simply slip up and reveal a targets whereabouts.

  • Impersonations and traditional investigative work. Our investigators may pose as someone else in order to get close to a target. We will also spend hours researching in order to find where someone is most likely to be hiding.

Whichever method is taken Prestige will locate the target.
